We were on a roll (a roll of the dice that is) at our fourth annual Bunco fundraiser, held at the Knights of Columbus in Arlington Heights. The hall was full of both experienced and first-time Bunco players, and the “Bunco Boa” (awarded to anyone who rolled a Bunco) got a real workout as it quickly traveled around the room. Congratulations to our Bunco winners, Amy Meehan and Alex Haduch, and to everyone else who took home either a raffle basket, silent auction item, door prize or split-the-pot cash. And new this year, we also offered Baggo and beer back in the bar area for our non-Bunco-playing attendees.

Special thanks to our always wonderful Bunco Caller Micki Naylor, bartender extraordinaire John Naylor (who also donated all his tips back to CTC), and volunteers Colin Botwinski, Danielle James, Sue Rothlisberger and Carol Sladek. Your help, as always, was greatly appreciated!

We’d also like to recognize the following businesses and individuals who made generous donations in support of this event: AMC Theatres, South Barrington; Arlington International Racetrack, Arlington Heights; Culver’s, Schaumburg; d’Vine Wine and Gifts, Palatine; Fox & Hound, Arlington Heights; Lou Malnati’s; Lynfred Winery, Roselle; Mariano’s, Palatine; Panera Bread; Peterson’s Tasty Delight Bakery, Hoffman Estates; Schaumburg Boomers; Spunky Dunkers Donuts, Palatine; Lisa Maniola; Scott Rosen; and Pat Smietana.

And finally, thank you to all who attended this fun event. Our Bunco numbers continue to grow each year and we greatly appreciate your support of Connect to Community and our mission to improve the lives of young adults with developmental disabilities. See you next year!
