Connect to Community is honored to have again received $2,000 from Palatine Township and its Human Needs Committee to help fund our Educational Outreach initiative. Educational Outreach programming provides valuable information and resources to families of young adults with developmental disabilities on topics such as community day services, employment, housing options, government benefits, special needs financial planning, and much more.

Educational Outreach events include monthly Friday Forum seminars, monthly Informational Tours, and an annual Transition Summit, and we are pleased that in addition to families, many area educators and service providers also attend and then share the information that they receive with the individuals that they serve. After hosting virtual Friday Forums due to the pandemic, we are looking forward to hopefully returning to in-person events in the fall.

A large part of our Township funding is used to record our Friday Forum events so that the information can be made available to those who are unable to attend in person. We are pleased that the videos from our past Friday Forums have over 2,000 views, which further expands our reach into the community.

Thank you Palatine Township! Your continued support of our mission is always greatly appreciated.
